Most clubs share helmets between players every season. We don’t. Here’s what that means for your athlete.

A properly fitted helmet is the most important piece of equipment your player wears. Use the official Schutt resources below to find the right size — our equipment staff will fine-tune the fit at pickup.
| How to Measure Using a flexible tape measure or a piece of string, measure around the widest part of your player’s head — approximately 1 inch above the eyebrows. That measurement in inches or centimetres determines the correct helmet size.

| Don’t worry — we’ll help at pickup Even if you’re unsure of your player’s exact size, our equipment staff will professionally fit the helmet at pickup and make all necessary adjustments. | Is this a one-time fee or do I pay every season? |
| One-time. You pay the program fee once and your player uses their dedicated helmet for their entire time with the Northstars. There are no annual renewal fees. |
| What happens to the helmet when my player leaves the Northstars? |
| The helmet is returned to the club when your player moves on. This allows us to keep the program sustainable and accessible for future players coming into the program. |
| Will my player share their helmet with anyone? |
| No. That’s the whole point. The helmet is assigned exclusively to your player — fitted to them and used only by them — ensuring consistent fit, comfort, and hygiene season after season. |
| Is availability limited? |
| Yes — spots in the program are limited. We recommend confirming availability with our equipment manager before placing your order to avoid disappointment. |
| Does the program fee include the facemask? |
| Yes. Each player receives a complete helmet and facemask setup. No additional purchases required for the helmet itself. |
